Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, French filmmakers Nora Mandray and Hélène Bienvenu are in full-swing production of “Detroit, je t’aime” (Detroit, I Love You), a soon-to-be interactive doc on the rebirth of Detroit, urban farming and DIY culture in the Paris of the Midwest.
According to an article on Broken City Lab, the project will be interactive by
1. Allowing the user to decide when to start the next section.
2. Presenting a “DIY Toolbox” for each section to give instructions on how to begin a project, yourself.
3. Giving rich data about each neighbourhood featured, including historical context via data visualizations, interviews, and archives.
4. Social media integration.
